“Great Skin, great makeup”
Hey, guys, I did a short video some time back on my snapchat (@ohemaaghana), talking about my homemade skin exfoliation mask and I received several messages concerning this particular topic, so I decided to write a blog and do a little short video going through each step required to create this mask.
Now before I post the video, I firstly want to do a written blog with all the ingredients and tools needed, then post the video on how it is made and applied.
I wear makeup almost every day, therefore it is very important for me to clean and exfoliate my skin as many times as I can. Like I always say, great skin means great makeup.
This particular technique works on sensitive skin, oily skin, dry skin and skin with acne. If you’re suffering from bad skin as I was some time ago with a non-stop breakout, make sure you drink loads of water at least 2litres a day to cleanse your inner organs. Trust me when I say, water is the best remedy. One other method that helped me fight my breakouts and blackheads was the Yogi skin detox tea. I used to drink it every night before going to bed.
Now let’s get started.
- 100% honey (mine is from Ghana, Kumasi)
- Brown sugar (cinnamon or white sugar) I use brown sugar as it helps me scrub the dead skin cells off my face when I massage it.
- An old foundation brush
- A clean towel
- An empty glass, bowl or cup
- 100% coconut oil (optional)
- Lemon helps tone your skin
- Sugar exfoliate your skin
- Honey heals your skin
- Oil hydrates your skin
This is all you need to make the perfect skin exfoliation mask. If you want to know what makeup products I use, check out Day To Day Makeup Products.
