Hey guys, after a long and well deserving break away from my laptop I am finally back with yet another interesting interview from an amazing entrepreneur. Today’s Young Entrepreneur Of The Week (@YEW_GLOBAL) is the very humble Sally Akosua Asare. Sally is the CEO of Classickwakyewa and also a Law student in Ghana. She started her fashion career at the tender age of 18 and has not looked back since. Sally describes herself as a young and passionate entrepreneur who gets inspired by nature to create her unisex clothing.

1. What is your name?
Sally Akosua K Asare.
2. Where are you from?
I am from Tutu Akuapim, Ghana.
3. What is the name of your company?
The name of my company is Classic Kwakyewa.
4. Where is the company located?
The company is located at Sakumono Nthc, Accra, Ghana.
5. When was the company established?
The company was established 4 years ago in 2013.
6. How did you get the idea?
At the age of 7 years old, I fell in love with colours and shapes. I was very good at styling and would style anyone around me when I got the chance to. The passion I had for fashion motivated me to eventually create my own clothing line company.
7. Was it something you’ve always wanted to do?
Yes, I’ve always wanted to be in the fashion industry as a designer.
8. What has been the ups and downs while establishing the company or after establishing it?
I had several challenges, however, finding the right tools and materials for my garments had to be the most challenging of it all. But I have enjoyed the process as every challenge made me want to succeed even more in this industry.
9. Where do you see this company in five years time?
In 5 years time, I am hoping to be the first Ghanaian designer to be a member of the Haute Couture and also be recognised as a member in Paris creating amazing garments internationally.
10. Is your business a full-time self-employed occupation or a side occupation?
It’s a full-time business, however, I am also a student.
11. What advice would you give to other people trying to emerge in the same business?
My advice I have for anyone trying to emerge in the same business will be to not give up. It is not an easy road but if you take one step at a time, the sky is your starting point and it is never too late to achieve your dreams.
