Welcome back to yet another edition of Young Entrepreneur Of The Year (@yew_global). This week’s young entrepreneur has proven yet again that beauty and brains put together is one hell of a tool to conquer any industry. Esther Afua Anima Titi-Lartey is a 24 year qualified beauty therapist and former Miss Ghana UK. She loves to read, write blogs and encourage other people.

Ms Titi-Lartey was crowned Miss Ghana UK in 2012 and has since expanded her territory both in the beauty pageant industry and skin care industry.

Her brand was inspired by the biblical story of Queen Esther, who was adorned with oils, perfumes and cosmetics before being presented to the King.

She was a woman who symbolised beauty, courage and grace. Not only was she beautiful to feast your eyes upon, her inner beauty allured those who encountered her and that is what Sinai Beauty represents, where true beauty lies.

Though Esther’s beauty caught the attention of the king, it was her character that gave her the title of  ‘Queen’. Sinai Beauty is a brand that desires to empower all women using a diverse range of products and services, in reminding every individual of the royalty in them.

INTERVIEW

1. What is your name?
Esther Afua Anima Titi-Lartey

2. Where are you from?
I am from Ghana.

3. What is the name of your company?
The name of my company is Sinai Beauty.

4. Where is the company located?
It is an online shop with offices both in London and Ghana.

5. When was the company established?
The company was established on the 1st of September 2017.

6. How did you get the idea?
I decided to create a brand that catered not only for a woman’s physical appearance but also reminded women of the importance of catering to their souls, where true beauty lies. I went back to the traditional story of Queen Esther the Queen of Persia, to draw inspiration for my products. Sinai Beauty embodies three key attributes: Simplicity, Virtue and Power. I also decided to debut with a skincare line because I believe that we should always start with skin. I plan to expand Sinai with makeup collections and beauty accessories.

7. Was it something you’ve always wanted to do?
Yes, I’ve always wanted to empower women and what better way, than through beauty.

8. What has been the ups and downs while establishing the company or after establishing it?
The upside to starting Sinai Beauty was the encouragement from my family. The thought of them believing in me, and that they were sure I could launch and establish a successful company was truly inspiring. The downside to starting a business for me was the pressure. You have to be ready to mentally carry the full weight of your company, especially in the beginning stages.

9. Where do you see this company in five years time?
In 5 years I see Sinai Beauty being listed by Forbes as one of the richest self-made beauty brands.

10.  Is your business a full-time self-employed occupation or a side occupation?
I am fully invested in Sinai Beauty full-time.

11. What advice would you give to other people trying to emerge in the same business?
My advice would be, to just start. Whatever it is you want to do, just start it. That is the hardest part, and once you’ve done that, you have what it takes to run it.

12. Do you have any social media platforms for your company?
You could keep updated with new product releases on our website on www.sinaibeauty.com and all other social platforms @shopsinaibeauty.
